Shanah Tovah Umetukah! The high holiday holds many customs, including "raising a noise" by sounding a shofar (a ram's horn). Special services are held revolving around the theme of repentance. There are also festive meals full of symbolic foods, like apples dipped in honey (to symbolize a sweet start to the New Year).
