Sometimes, honey by itself is too sweet, but you still want some sort of a dip. This Creamy Honey Mustard is easy to make with ingredients we all have on hand!
I personally use regular yellow mustard, but with four kids we don't get into the fancy stuff. You could easily use a deli mustard for this recipe, or even a high-end mustard in a fancy jar!
This recipe is easily customizeable, too. Add a touch of horseradish for a real zing! Thin it out with a bit of vinegar for use on a Cobb Salad. If you need to be dairy free, you could mix just equal parts of honey and mustard.
Kids love this Creamy Honey Mustard on everything chicken nuggets to french fries. Add a bit to a sandwich or a burger for a special treat!
Which honey to use? I recommend using Brazilian Pepper Honey - the robustness of the honey holds up well to the spiciness of the mustard. Almond Honey has a nuttiness that also pairs well with the cracked mustard. But if you want something that can be used as both a table honey and also works well with just about any recipe, go for the neutral flavor of Butterbean Honey.
- 1/2 cup mayonaisse
